ARCOLisboa 2022

VERVE participates in ARCOLisboa for the first time, in the 2022 edition. The gallery presents a dialogue between works by Dudu Garcia (1966, Rio de Janeiro – RJ) and Luisa Malzoni (1980, São Paulo – SP), drawing connections on the constitution memory, the passage of time and transatlantic affective bonds. Garcia applies organic materials on canvas, above all transferring surfaces from abandoned buildings in Rio de Janeiro to his works, composing works with abstract visuality from real materialities. Malzoni develops her research through traditional photography techniques, in dialogue about the structuring of identity and memory. VERVE, invited to the Opening sector, curated by Luiza Teixeira and Chus Martinez, occupied stand OP13, at Cordoaria Nacional, in Lisbon.
