Fefa Lins finds in the ruin metamorphoses similar to those undergone by the body. He uses cobogós from an old house in Recife’s North Zone to incorporate into his paintings the marks left by time. Through humidity, moss, and peeling surfaces, the artist challenges the neutrality of the support, superimposing onto the deteriorated landscape other images arising from his figurative research. The visual permeability between inside and outside, characteristic of the structures chosen by Fefa, allows for an understanding of both urban and domestic systems. The artist personalizes the architecture through the title, attributing to the sound produced by the wind as it passes through the openings the same quality as that produced by the mouth.
